On a roll getting around to basing stuff that’s been waiting in desperate need of it. These cave goblins got a coat of Astrogranite that’s came with an old starter box. Nicely helped to fill in the gaps in the old style GW slot bases.
24 miniature goblins sit around in a plastic box lid. They’re viewed from above to clearly show the freshly applied and slightly irregular stone like patterning on their bases

This is included amongst a set of lycanthrope minis as a Halloween freebie with my latest order. Am I in the clear here, @akivamcohen.bsky.social @goobermunch.bsky.social?
Artistic representation of a human/shark hybrid, with hands and feet, but a shark's tail and head. It is printed on acrylic and based on a small stand, clearly intended to be a miniature for a TTRPG game.

Pleased with how they look on the board now that they’re based and varnished. @peterorlowicz.bsky.social

I was inspired by @questauthority.bsky.social’s post from the LVO to finally get to work on these mech bases.
Small mech in an all over black-green pattern, and bright metal shining out from between the joints. The base still has an ugly plain grey around the rim, but is otherwise now looking like a rough green grass pattern

Even your Forgotten Realms lawyers know every day is shut the fuck up Friday.
He'd gone to the Helm & Cloak tavern for a drink after a miserable day on the magistrate's bench. The main case had been three hunters brought up for poaching deer from a noble estate. It was an open-and-shut case. The poachers had freely admitted it, saying that there were plenty of deer, and the nobles obviously weren't using them, so what was the harm? Their legal counsel had first tried frantically to shush them, then tried to argue that they were speaking in the abstract, then finally sat with her head in her hands, her shoulders slumped in de-spair.
The penalty for poaching was death. Specifically, hanging.

Incessant news coverage by whom? I’ve never even heard of the artist, much less the song.
At this point, though, if someone contends they've never even heard of
"Choosin' Texas" or Langley, it may say more about the listener than the song.
Or, for that matter, what they want to project to the world. With incessant news coverage alongside chart and playlist presence, it's pretty difficult to still claim total ignorance on this one.
Perhaps there is a deeper reason why people say they haven't heard the song and feel the need to make it known: cultural cachet.

Very tactics heavy heroic fantasy. Even low level characters feel like superheroes but fantasy themed. That has really influenced the art too. Like this was the first pre-gen I ran from the starter.

That actually sounds like a plausible explanation, especially if the family member confirmed. Glad kiddo's brother checked on her.
Uzunboylu said that they had been at the beach the previous day with other family members, and someone must have put vodka in a water bottle that Waldroup used to make a bottle for the baby. When interviewed separately, Waldroup told investigators the same story, the arrest report said.

One of the family members they were with confirmed that he had filled a water bottle with vodka and secured it inside a closed backpack. Later in the day, he noticed it was out of his backpack and that someone, later confirmed to be his adult brother, had drunk some of it.

I know this pleases everyone's priors, but you'll notice that there's no sourcing and it actually contradicts internal policy documents. Recruitment bonuses aren't paid by ICE until after the completion of a probationary period. You can't be forced to repay money you don't have yet.
An employing office will delay the starting date of a service agreement until after an employee completes an initial period of formal training or required probationary period when continued employment in the position is contingent on successful completion of the formal training or probationary period. While the employing office must make the determination to pay a recruitment bonus before the employee enters on duty, the service agreement must specify that if the employee does not successfully complete the training or probationary period before the service period begins, then the employing office is not obligated to pay any portion of the recruitment bonus to the employee.

Denys Beecher @dbeecher.bsky.social · 23/09/2026
It's not real. ICE's own policy manual says the office isn't obligated to pay the hiring bonus if they don't complete their probationary period. You can't be forced to repay something you never got.

Also, the process is the punishment. See his description of the arrest and aftermath. Anyone want to take bets on how much effort the feds made to investigate the people who were ACTUALLY engaging in true threats here?
ICE came to my daughter's house, where I was living, in October, 2025. They brought military vehicles including an army tank, in the pre-dawn hours. They used the tank to batter down the front door. At least eight armed men ransacked the house, pointed guns at two toddler grandchildren, even though I occupied only one-room in the house. The agents laughed while the children screamed and cried.
Thereafter, ICE or DHS posted our address on its website and on social media X. For weeks my family and I were targeted online and by regular USPS mail with threats to shoot through our windows and to kill us. We lived in a state of fear for weeks, until my son was able to have the post taken down. I spent the day in the local ICE detention facility, and a night in the Charlotte County Jail. At my arraignment, the judge agreed to release me to my daughter pursuant to a pre-trial agreement. I have strictly adhered to that pre-trial agreement. Over the past ten months, I have worked with my children, and we have supported each other to
maintain stability. A family is a system that can endure much stress, but it has its limitations as well.

Good opportunity to remind people of a similar case right here in my backyard from last October. This survived an attempt to dismiss on 1st Amendment grounds and he ultimately pled out. Judge gave a six-month prison sentence, which was a substantial deviation from the 24-30 guideline recommendation.

The Rebels got absolutely rinsed.
A blue nebular starfield mat lies spread out on a round, wooden table. At the center of the starfield, dodging around clusters of asteroids and debris miniature versions of a Corellian Corvette, Nebulon-B, Imperial Raider, and Imperial light cruiser circle each other. Off to the right side a Star Destroyer bears down hard on a Mon Calamari cruiser breaking off. The Star Destroyer is about to unload a massive wave of fire at point blank range. Near the two heavy ships a cluster of fighters all engage each other.
Scattered around the edge of the table are various cards and tokens tracking information about the various miniatures.

OK, I've already seen some Lawrence of Arabias so I won't chime in further there, but I think some of the set piece moments in The Duelists deserve a mention.
Two men in the middle distance duel with swords. A man in elaborate Napoleonic uniform stands in the foreground looking on. Behind them all is a stone building brightly illuminated on one side by the low, morning sun streaming in from the left while the rest of the structure is cast in shadow. A forest lies in the far background. The whole thing feels almost ethereal or impressionistic.
