That is not to say that use in young persons thought to be trans is easy and not complex. It requires intense + prolonged assessment. An outright ban is however prejudicial+ suicide rates have risen in young trans ppl. Trans services have been seriously degraded since erroneous Cass Review.

Like all meds they must pass fairly rigorous examination wrt side effects before use in clin. practice. They have been used in UK since early 1980s. They are used widely in precocious puberty. Not widely in the population. Use in cis children but not trans is illogical+ UK is now an outlier int'y.
