The trick to good schnitzel or good shallow fried anything is you gotta get up into it, really make sure every bit is coated in flour, have some craftsmanship, some pride in your work, shaking it in a bag is for bulk work, you’re an ARTIST

Just read a murder mystery in which the author footnotes the Big Denouement to make it fair. Literally, he says "the murderer was concealed in a small alcove all along!" on like p.240, and for all the readers going "what bloody alcove?" there's a footnote telling you it was mentioned on p.11.
