Texas Encampment Announcement
To the Socialists of Texas:
DEAR COMRADES:
WITH THE TEXAS MOVEMENT NEVER SO MILITANT AND UNITED. I AM JUSTIFIED IN SAYING THAT THE SUMMER OF 1915 WILL BE THE
Banner Encampment Season.
WE EXPECT TO HAVE TWICE AS MANY AS LAST YEAR FOR THAT REASON EVERY COMMUNITY WITH JUST ENOUGH SOCIALISTS WITH HUS TLE ENOUGH TO DO IT, SHOULD GET IN ON THIS GIGANTIC ENCAMPMENT CIRCUIT, WHERE THE LAND REVOLUTION WILL BE PREACHED AS NEVER BE FORE AND WE WILL SHAKE THE STATE THIS SUMMER IN A MANNER THAT WILL BE HEARD 'ROUND THE WORLD
TWO ENCAMPMENT TEAMS
The state office has decided to organize two "star" encampment teams of three speakers each who are thoroughly known and thoroughly at home in the South and such additional teams as are found necessary. Usually we have had only one regular team. We increase it to two. because already the indications are that they will have work and to spare throughout the season. They are:
TEAM NO. 1.-T. A. Hickey, editor of the Rebel and state secretary; E. R. Meitzen, Socia- list nominee for governor, and Arthur Le Seueur, of Fort Scott, Kas.
TEAM NO. 2.-W. S. Noble, of Rockdale, nominee for lieutenant governor in 1914 best known agitator in Texas; Mrs. Dora Merts, of Dallas, the greatest woman speaker in the South and Clarence Nugent, of Stephensville, Texas, candidate for attorney general.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The two teams will be so well-balanced as to effectiveness that it should make no difference which one comes to your place. However, if the majority of encampments in one di vision of the state would appear to prefer a Certain team, it will be sent to that part of the state.
