We need to find the words for Trump’s madness before things blow up | Will Bunch
The media and politicians haven’t pinned down anything resembling a suitable description for a president’s downward spiral or the looming battle for U.S. democracy.

The same @nytimes.com that would never refer to Trump and MAGA as “far right”. Why does The Times see foreign politics more clearly than its own backyard?

Prez visiting pacific islands claimed by Japan shows how anti colonial we are. A white man who rules 1/3 of the Asian landmass from a city in Europe went to visit a island in the pacific ocean we invaded in living memory.

Warsh’s Performance Falls Flat With Markets as Fed Holds Rates Steady (Gift Article)

The Right is united behind fascism, so not a big problem. @nytimes.com. Democratic socialists are committed to democracy, Republicans are not, but this piece continues the long line blaming the collapse of the Constitution on Democrats rather than the party doing the collapsing.

Once you write articles like this, they have to completely change your entire approach to the daily news. You’ve shown POTUS is an unprecedentedly corrupt criminal. That is now the story. The only story. Aside from the fact that he is also a fascist. That NYT hasn’t updated like this is the problem.

One (favorable sane-washing) interpretation of “I’m not worried about the midterms” is that Trump is not concerned about political pressure. Another is that he thinks he has them rigged, or that he can avoid them altogether.
