As a state representative, my office helps Floridians get connected to housing, benefits, and the agencies that owe them an answer, regardless of party. I’m running for the Senate to do that work at a bigger scale.

Natasha called me one day about a family losing their housing. We barely knew each other, but when someone needs help, we show up for each other — that's what community does. We need people in office who understand how hard life can be: high taxes, high grocery costs, high cost of living.

Rents are too damn high and healthcare costs a fortune thanks to Ashley Moody, but some people care more about labels than my plans to help Floridians lower the cost of living. The only box that matters come November 3rd is the ballot box. Stay focused y'all.

“Angie Nixon’s 12-percentage-point victory is among the biggest primary shockers this year and the latest example of a progressive insurgent toppling a favorite of the Democratic establishment. They’re winning because they’re on the side of the people, and the people are listening — and rising. “

It's crazy that Republicans are suddenly losing against the platform below after campaigning on: - death penalty for abortion - no vaccines - burn books - Bible-based math in school - a data center in your town - surveillance cameras - tariffs to raise grocery prices - wars to raise gas prices

We’re seeing this over and over again - including tonight in Florida, where Angie Nixon has handily won despite being outspent 16:1 — voters really really really don’t like being told what to do, and they don’t like big money trying to buy their votes.

Thanks to DSA and left-aligned primary victories so far this year, Dems are on track to add 3-4 people of color to their House caucus. Meanwhile, the white former head of the DNC is scrambling to take over the sole remaining historically black district in Florida. Cable news segments on this: zero.

The three most popular sitting Democrats in America are Zohran Mamdani, AOC, and Bernie Sanders. I genuinely don’t know what else the left is supposed to do to convince people the left is popular if they’re simply ignoring how popular the left is.

While her primary opponent has raised over $14 million dollars, @angieforfl.bsky.social is still polling better, showing that she has generated more enthusiasm with less money. Money and ads alone don't buy enthusiasm, but showing up, listening, and talking to voters does. #AngieforAll

Angie's primary opponent has attempted to ignore her the entire primary, hoping that doing so would make her seem like she's not a viable candidate. To be a viable candidate, one needs to raise money, but it's difficult to raise money if they are not seen as a viable candidate. #AngieforAll

in previous cycles the primary field has been cleared for a single candidate and they raised millions of dollars yet went on to lose. Maybe the most electable candidate isn't the one who can raise the most money, but the one who generates the most enthusiasm per dollar spent. #AngieforAll

A primary debate is a job interview with the voters. You don’t get to skip the interview and still expect to get the job, especially when you’re so new to the state and have no voting or legislative record. So the question is simple: Alex, will you show up and make your case to the voters?

@angieforfl.bsky.social is polling better than her opponent with only a fraction of the money and attention. Imagine what she could do if @fladems.bsky.social acknowledged there was a democratic primary happening and scheduled some debates or town halls floridaphoenix.com/2026/07/20/m...
Screenshot of a Florida Phoenix article of a Public Opinion Research Lab (PORL) at the University of North Florida poll.

The poll shows Moody up over Nixon, 50%-42%. Moody leads Vindman, 50%-40%.

That survey comes despite the fact that Vindman is crushing Nixon in fundraising.

Vindman has reported raising $16.7 million. Nixon has reported raising a little more than $625,000, with approximately $118,000 cash on hand at the end of June.

The whole AI-to-make-graduation- efficient is bizarre. The most efficient way to award diplomas is by mail; there’s no logical need for ceremonies. The whole reason they exist is for the human touch & so people can celebrate each other. AI for “efficiency” here is nonsensical (& doesn’t even work🫠)

At no point, literally at all, ever, whatsoever, have Republicans proposed eliminating legislative gerrymandering. They could pass that tomorrow with near-unanimous Democrat support. Instead they are flogging legislation to make it harder for 40 million people to even vote at all.

I am really, REALLY sorry guys but Democrats have absolutely LOST the "why not just show ID?" argument from a lack of ANY attempt to craft a good answer to it. Embrace it. Support a national ID and ask why Republicans don't! Demand that getting a legal voter ID be 100% FREE and government funded!
