I have a lot of steeped water infusions to choose from. After all, varia-tea is the spice of life.

You know, with Diablo we hear a lot about The Butcher, but we never hear about his lesser kin: the Baker and the Candlestick Maker.

I find the controls a little charming cause there’s so many strange choices, but I completely understand. For me it’s just the game was so damn long. It just kept going! 😅

I just finished Down Under by Bill Bryson. It's travel writing from an American going through Australia in the late 90s. He's a great writer with enjoyable wit. I highly recommend it

I'm reading 'In a Sunburned Country' by Bill Bryson. It was hilarious today reading about where I live (the Gold Coast) being skewered by a foreign travel writer. The book has been a delight so far! 😀

The Christmas cookies are already being sold at the supermarket. "Fuck yeah", I exclaimed. "Gingerbread!" I then took another look. "Caramel gingerbread? Get that shit outta here!" Why they have to ruin a good thing? 😭

Even though the GoG version of Dragon Age Origins is supposedly configured to run better on modern systems, I've had it crash on me a few times now. Tonight it crashed so hard I had to restart my PC. Still worth it though. 😄

I've seen a lot of programmers really disrespect themselves thinking that genAI is "fine" when it comes to coding or w/e because it's not "art" Programming is an art. It requires creativity. And you're literally programming graphics, it's visual art. It's just art. It counts. AI coding is AI "art"

The other dream was a mess of references, emotions, and shifting circumstances that I'm not going to unpack here. It ended with running through a short 1-season TV show idea that was fairly compelling. I can only remember the final sequence of the first episode before waking. 😅

(A funny aside is that the magazine had a crammed but colourful layout on each page. With the talk of Tomb Raider 2 and how old the layout software looked, the dream felt like it took place in the 90s, even though YouTube was mentioned. Yeah, like dreams are logically consistent)

The office was full of passionate young people. I reflected that pay had never been mentioned and everyone was pulling all-nighters to get the issue out on time. Love of what you're doing plus a community of like-minded people can go a long way to make exploitation feel justified.

Everyone in the office was scrambling to get the latest issue out on time. I woke up not long after this point, but even as I stumbled to the toilet in the middle of the night to pee, I thought back on the dream and something hit me.

I was there to write a review, but the editor asked me if I knew how to use layout software. I said 'I could work it out'. The funny thing was I wasn't allowed to access YouTube to watch tutorials while in the office. I had to use the in-software manual to learn how to use it.

I was playing and reminiscing with the staff of the magazine about a version of Tomb Raider 2 that definitely does not exist. Then I found myself working for said magazine.
