New US Ai website agrees that "super intelligence" is a dumb name that nobody uses in the context of current capabilities.

The U.S. government still uses artificial intelligence (AI) in statute and most agency policy. Congress Research Service notes there is no single official definition of AI; policymakers generally mean computer systems that can perform cognitive tasks. Law often points to the definition in 15 U.S.C. 9401 and related NDAA language.

Superintelligence is a narrower term. CRS describes artificial superintelligence as a system that would exceed human-level cognition across most tasks. Those systems do not exist today.

On this site, a White House fact sheet says America.gov uses Super Intelligence (SI) as the label for the technology that answers questions here. Fact sheet

So: agencies and law still say AI; America.gov’s public description uses Super Intelligence (SI); researchers also use “superintelligence” for a hypothetical future capability, not for everyday tools.
