Investigative journalist Daphne Galizia reported on government corruption, allegations of money laundering & more in #Malta. A "one-woman WikiLeaks." Known internationally for her investigation of the Panama Papers, she was assassinated by a car bomb in #OTD in 2017. 🧵 #Journalism #PressFreedom
A black-and-white portrait of the prominent Maltese investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia (1964–2017), who gained international acclaim for exposing political corruption and money laundering tied to the Panama Papers before her tragic assassination. She faces the camera directly with a subtle, composed, and knowing smile, her warm eyes conveying intelligence and resilience. Her dark, straight hair is parted down the middle, framing her face and cascading over her shoulders. She wears prominent, ornate, drop-style dangling earrings that feature concentric circular designs, catching the light. Her blouse is light-colored and adorned with delicate, patterned floral embroidery along the neckline. The background is softly blurred and indistinct, focusing all attention on her powerful presence. The overall mood is dignified and reflective, serving as an impactful historical testament to press freedom and courage.

You are right, but also recall that the KGB/FSB are masters at the art of Kompromat and Trump is a pedo. The latter goes back decades. Those videos are there for sure, Trump has spent enough time in Moscow for plenty of filming...

Water companies in England failed to report more than 50,000 sewage dumpings within the time required. Water companies routinely ignore laws, have 1,200+ criminal convictions, no exec prosecuted, no licence cancelled. Customers fleeced, human health damaged, environment harmed. Govts do nothing.

All nine of the country's suppliers failed to meet the legal reporting requirement of one hour, as more than 4,000 of the delayed reports affected designated bathing waters.

The 1933 numbers are a poll or a vote of those attending the union debate? Because if the latter, that social class was brought up to fight wars for King and Country... Which would make the numbers even more interesting, in that 93 years on people are more deeply connected to their democracy.

Poll reveals that 50% of young Britons would never fight for UK under any circumstances. Cue meltdown on talk radio stations and X. Well at least that's down on the 60% who said the exact same in an Oxford Union debate in 1933. Because... guess what kids... people don't want to fight in wars.

The entire rotten edifice of eugenics is based on a complete misunderstanding of evolution. Evolution doesn't care about individuals, it deals with *species*. And a selfish greedy species that lets "the weak" die is more, not less, vulnerable to extinction.
