Spent 2-3 days doing a deep dive into the differences between feasibility and pilot studies (and even ordered a book) because I thought I did everything wrong and had no idea what I was doing, but in the end realized that they are overlapping constructs and I'm doing a pretty good job. :) Phew.

Got a reviewer comment saying my N=183 single-arm trial sample is "relatively small". Sorry doc, this trial was run on a budget of $25,000 CDN and took 2 years to recruit.

In another massive data set of more than 1.5 million children ‌born between 1997 and 2022, the use of Tylenol during pregnancy was NOT associated with autism, even after accounting for ​individual risk factors. Autism was diagnosed in 1.8% of children exposed to Tylenol and 3% of the unexposed group.

Just reviewed a revision - the authors used gen AI and made up a new intro and references (roughly 20). First noticed that the text strayed from study’s purpose, then I noticed that all of the new refs were from 2024 or 2025 (implausible), then I started to look up refs to find they don’t exist.

An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.
