I'm playing the game longer than I intended to. Just planned to stop after the Augus fight, but ended up addicted, lol.

Now that I got the whale, and have all the party members, it's time to grind on the Giant Monsters island. I usually do it before the battle theme change, because I prefer the first battle theme, lol. #BreathOfFireII

You tell 'em, disinterested Go Nagai dressed as Dracula!

A disinterested Go Nagai dressed as Dracula, from his introduction to Go Nagai's Scary Zone (1989).

He is saying, "In this world, there are people who've seen UFOs and ghosts."

I have been on Youtube significantly less these days, because I got tired of being bombarded with Polls and Image posts from channels I don't even follow. lol

I remember being so obsessed with his attack and guts animation that I would always draw or copy it back in grade school, lmao

Augus fight went well. Went in after getting Katt up to level 11, and luckily Augus only targeted Ryu. No video this time, since it still dragged past 30 seconds, lol. Wasn't hard, but being such a big difficulty hurdle, I didn't expect leveling up to do much of a difference this time around.

大往生 @daioujou.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Katt fight went well too. Didn't have to worry about her critical hits at all, lol.

Usually should be at level 8 or 9 for the Baba fight. I came in and steamrolled him at level 13, lmao. #BreathOfFireII #SuperNintendo #NintendoSwitch2

I don't even really intend to finish this run. I just remembered about how the early game bosses and how they gave me a hard time back in my grade schooler days, and wanted tog et some revenge, lol (Up to that fight against Augus with Rand and Katt).

大往生 @daioujou.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Why did I suddenly do yet another revisit of BoFII? I dunno, I just kinda felt like overleveling and seeing how fast shit dies in the early game.

大往生 @daioujou.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

Usually you'd go into the first boss at level 5 or 6 to win comfortably. I decided to spend 3 hours to grind to level 10, and upgrade my gear, just to see how badly they'd get destroyed. Auto battled, and... yeah... they ded... 😏 #BreathOfFireII #SuperNintendo #NintendoSwitch2

Ended up doing the Sisters Mode at work. I forgot that it was impossible to get 1000% though, so I guess I'm done with it. Not gonna play any Hard Modes this year. #Castlevania #PortraitOfRuin #NintendoSwitch2

As I replay OoT, I'm reminded of just how often Navi reminds you were to go, how your next objective is blinking on the map screen, and how the owl introduces each new area. I can already imagine people complaining that the remake is hand-holdy because they also forgot how guided the original was.

Navi: "Impa said that the Spiritual Stone of Fire is somewhere on Death Mountain."

The map screen in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Kaepora Gaebora: "I will perch here and wait for you. When you're ready to go back down, I can help you! Now, get going!"
