My younger kid has realized that school is at least in part, a prison where kids are kept so parents can be farmed by capitalists, and that the grading, testing, major, and degree system serves to normalize and perpetuate hierarchies of importance among people. Also that many people have no […]

People who find LLMs useful when "used correctly" don’t understand that they manage to use them correctly because they spent 20 years of there life learning their craft without LLMs. LLMs is the only tool where the less you use it, the better you become at using it.

Kittery, Maine, tonight.

A scenic view over a river, which is reflecting the orange clouds above the Kittery Naval Base in its ripples. There are long, red-brick buildings running away from the river, a crane, and a water tank that says "US Navy." In the mid-ground is the front of a yellow boat.

This is exactly what happens when cars are the default transportation policy. EVs are often sold as the ultimate fix, but they take up the exact same amount of space as gas cars. A blanket "cars-for-everything" policy will always fail because geometry always wins.

Two nearly identical photos each show a man and a woman standing in the same spot at Seville's Plaza de España. In the bottom photo, the Star Wars characters Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker walk on either side of the droid R2-D2. In the top photo, which is meant to mimic the bottom photo, a woman wearing a black shirt and a man wearing a gray shirt walk on either side of a black and white Sheepadoodle that has been digitally inserted into the photo.
