This is day 2 of being unable to even go to work due to how horrible I feel. Mentally and physically. Yesterday I at least could get out of bed and run much needed errands that I have not had time for, but today the alarm went off and I just curled up and started sobbing. Just can't do this.

It's me being super pretty at my first gay bar and drag show. Big thanks to my bestie @idolates.bsky.social for a couple of these that were taken. Y'all may not have the ones I took of him, those are for me. He can post his own if he sees fit. 😂🥰

A dainty left hand placed on a sparkly blue resin bar table, illuminated gently by magenta lights. Helio shows off their very rarely painted nails; blue, purple, and black as he has not been able to get to the store to update the polish to his new favorite colors. It works out anyways as it compliments the lighting. Grandfather's 4k gold ring is on the thumb, now able to fit thanks to hrt, and a small silver ring with a crescent moon adorns the ring finger. Estella, Ginella, and Audax adorn the wrist, looking stunning in the lighting as well. They are self macrame bracelets composed of crazy lace agate, mookaite jasper, and jade and tiger's eye. Helio considers them family, but that's a story for another time.

Helio is mid joke as his best friend snaps an unsuspecting picture. It is slightly blurry, which adds to comedic effect. You can see the rest of the jewelry here, including a handmade bracelet on the right wrist, he/they lapels on the sweater collar, and more of their family, Adusta and Rowena, hanging with heavy comfort around the neck. Adusta is aventurine and needs to be re-wire wrapped (Helio swears he willl get to it eventually) and Rowena is sodalite, who, due to her smooth nature, cannot be easily wrapped and thus has been placed inside a handmade crystal macrame corded necklace from a beloved Etsy seller. Pretty boy feels super pretty when cross faded. Helio is on their 3rd Barbie, as the drink has been named. His fingers are curled delicately around the rim, a playful expression across their features. In this photo you can better see the facial piercings as well. Snake bites, left eyebrow, bridge, and dermal underneath the right eye.

Helio is "meditating", as his friend calls it. Eyes closed, hands are folded, elbows propped on the table, empty alcohol glasses also in frame. He's taking a moment to soak in the atmosphere. He rarely plays around in bars so this being his first gay bar and drag show is overwhelming yet comfortable all at once. He is just grateful that it is not too much in his current unmedicated state. He is excited to tell his psychiatrist about this in a couple weeks as he obtains and starts new medication, and considers it a milestone.
