I finished it a few months ago, too, and it was also my first Silent Hill game. It’s been haunting me ever since, to the point that I’m actually kinda eager to play it again? (And I got the “happy” ending!) Few enemies have freaked me out more than Abstract Daddy and those fucking spider mannequins.

As Brody says here, “Collecting is an act of love” What we lose isn’t just access but the satisfaction that comes with curation too. There are plenty of doomsday pieces about digital libraries ceasing to exist etc, pushing physical, but for me it has also always been about the human urge to build.
