What fresh hell of a framing is this?? "alleges the groups are advocating for the long-debated practice of jury nullification" Long-debated?! It's literally part of the our founding origin story: the Zenger trial in 1735! It's not "debated"! It's a fundamental core REASON FOR THE JURY AT ALL.

Yes, prosecutors hate it. Yes, SCOTUS has sought to nerf it by making it impossible to raise at the actual trial itself. But a core REASON for putting twelve peers between the defendant and the government is to do EXACTLY THIS.

My job for eight seasons was to find the most corrupt guys in America and turn their ridiculous evil into television, and I gotta say Paxton is a standout for being *comical* levels of corrupt. I’d say he has swagger but I think he’s just dumb & lazy because the (R) after his name is gold in Texas.

PROMOs 10 year plan is to create a pro-trans majority in Republican dominated Missouri. Is that even possible? How are they doing it? Our EIC @evanurquhart went to St. Louis to find out. Here's his story: assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...

The UK has banned me from entering their country. I can’t even land to switch planes…

But it didn’t end there. I am now stuck in Warsaw because
@British_Airways
has an “issue” with me flying. I’ve missed two flights because of unknown reasons.

As much as I love Poland I’ve been away from home for two weeks. I wasn’t even given the common courtesy to be notified in advance about this issue. Now I’m stuck abroad.

@USAmbPoland
can I get some assistance here?

William Goldman mentions that screenwriters need a second creative hobby so they won’t go mad, because they’re the only artists who will never, *can never*, see the concept in their head fully realized. That limitation is, though, what makes our art our art. This project is a fool’s errand.

This story wound up focusing a fair bit on the differences between PROMO's approach to deep canvassing as part of the No on 3 campaign, an approach which centers and humanizes trans people, vs their coalition partners whose only talking point on trans youth healthcare is that it's already illegal.
