I'm not a parent, but as someone who is teaching kids who were born in the 2010s I've got to say please please please read to your kids, encourage your kids to read for fun, take them to the library and let them read anything that catches their eye, read the same book and talk about it together!

Rae is getting their top surgery today, and this hospital doesn't understand that queer people exist. During check-in, the staff member kept misgendering Rae, and after they got through pre-op process, another staff member walked me to the surgery pre-op area he told me, "Your husband asked for you"
