i mean they have ed harris jump out a window gratuitously, what is happening here. the egg cracking stuff, the painful closeups of questionable age makeup, so much attention was paid to weird stuff that didn’t matter bc the script was so wildly hacky. how not to write dialog jfc

i don’t understand making something in 2004 that has part of it’s setting as new york in 2001, casually avoiding mentioning what month, and not apparently having that choice signify anything. in a story supposedly about confronting death, no less. why

I tried here to explain why anti-trans activists are targeting Portland, the struggle I have with covering some of these issues as a reporter and how transgender athletes belong in sports. Exclusion is incompatible with equity.

When you ask MAHA/anti-vaxxers types how they got into the movement, they mostly report that they saw something on Joe Rogan or Fox News or a meme on Facebook. A lot of them *have* been negatively judged by doctors, but that usually comes after the conspiratorial beliefs, not before.

Hackers Had A Live Feed Of Every ID This Verification Company Scanned. For Over A Year.
From the very beginning of this recent obsession with identifying everyone online (yes, they like to call it "age" verification, but it always ends up as identity verification), we've been pointing out that it was a huge privacy nightmare waiting to happen. Or maybe it wasn't waiting. Maybe it was already happening. This week a...

There's a fourth category of people who are decently wealthy but see people who have less wealth as a threat. They believe their own wealth depends on keeping their neighbors subservient and keep laborers' wages low and exploiting their dependency.
