I'm in my 30s. I grew up on irc where adults clocked me as a kid and taught me how to protect myself. I saw the internet as we know it grow, and found countless communities along the way. Oh, and I lived in a country where the net was censored. Don't ban it - work with kids to protect them.

New Victoria Hospital will no longer provide masculising gender-affirming surgery from December. We have been assured by NHS England that it is looking at alternative providers to continue this service, and that they will keep patients informed. transactual.org.uk/blog/2026/06...

TransActual is aware that NHS Gender Dysphoria National Referral Support Services (GDNRSS) has issued an email stating that New Victoria Hospital in London will no longer provide masculising gender-affirming surgery from December of this year.

We have been assured by NHS England that it is looking at alternative providers to continue this service, and that they will keep patients informed and up-to-date on this process.

This situation will ultimately lead to further delays for trans patients who have already spent years on waiting lists. Whilst NHS England could not control the decision by New Victoria Hospital not to renew the contract, they have a responsibility to act to minimise the harm of delayed care. Waiting lists for these surgeries are already unacceptably long.

We continue to ask that NHS England support and finance patients to medically transition abroad – in EU countries or beyond – rather than delay care further.

Absolutely! I have a stutter and a processing speed disorder. It was women in disability justice spaces who taught me abt giving space for disfluent speech - the pauses, the false starts, the silences, the need for some to use assistive software or patiently wait for those who breathe differently.

This is also something that occurs in disabled speech as people need time to recall words or process their thoughts or may other struggles with speech they're trying to overcome while they buy time. Just fucking let people talk and listen, it isn't so hard.

As a trans man, I once had a trans friend joke that I could now be a boisterous lad which didn't sit well with me. The cis men I looked up to in my life were gentle, kind and creative and had the time to be caring to me as a misfit gnc kid. They taught me about the importance of uplifting community.
