Hi all. This is Vex’s daughter. I’m not sure how many of you were aware of my mother’s condition but she did pass away on September 14th this week. Just wanted to let you know if you were curious why she wasn’t posting as much. Thanks.

As far as I can tell there’s still a thunderstorm expected to happen in the next couple of hours in Washington DC but Trump has decided that he must give his speech and so has told them to reopen the grounds so people can be outside in a thunderstorm during his speech.

There's a sequence in Caddyshack in which a golfer presses on through increasingly dangerous weather because he's shooting the game of his life and refuses to quit. It ends with him botching the final hole and then getting killed by a lightning strike. Thinking about that for no reason whatsoever.
