I would prefer less anti-China grandstanding and more well-made, technologically advanced, Chinese EVs and the green infrastructure to power them. Trade is mutually beneficial. In a free market, if China makes better products, I should be free to buy them.

a big part of being a good president is being smart about who to listen to, and organizing your office so you get good advice. trump is a uniquely terrible president bec (a) he refuses to listen to anyone who disagrees with him about anything, and (b) if you flatter him he'll do anything you ask.
