Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Long story, will text more. But our battery died while literally driving home from upstate and we had to be pushed off the Lincoln Tunnel entrance. Crazy stuff! But the cops were super nice and helpful and said this happens a lot, and we are safe and waiting for a tow 2 miles from home. 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Horrible place for your car to die, but damn, the view sure is good for a tow wait! 120
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 07/08/2026"The girls walk by, dressed up for each other..." Did I bother with makeup for my own wedding? Hell nah. Did I just buy lipstick and eyeliner for Broadway night out with the girls tomorrow? Hell yes! #RockyHorror 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 06/08/2026I remember being so excited to get each of these, they were all steps up from my cheaper kits/gear that symbolized being a Very Serious Athlete. We couldn't afford to buy all the nice stuff at once, so it came as rewards for working my butt off towards my own goals. My parents were pretty clever. 000
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 06/08/2026A pair of gloriously white dressage breeches and semi-custom field boots from hunters/jumpers. Ski racing pants, thin and skin tight, not snow pants. A fleece figure skating practice dress from college lessons. Coolest PE credit ever! So. Many. Costumes. From so many wonderful events. 110
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 06/08/2026Going through my wardrobe, looking for something to wear to the Rocky Horror Show on Bway. Was in 2 casts as a teen and want to revisit the fashion w/o going too costumey. Digging deep into the clothing archives is such a fascinating look at my life. Kept 1 or 2 things from past interests each. 110
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 01/08/2026You have to come out and play next time she comes down to visit! Just found out she has never been to the Intrepid, so we may have to fix that as soon as she can make it down. 120
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 01/08/2026Cannot think of a better way to wrap up my birthday trip than visiting my beloved @spionchen.anomaly.moe on our way home. Except a visit that also includes some great margaritas, of course! 130
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 31/07/2026No idea on stats, but I have done the lengths of 95, 81, and the Blue Ridge and never saw this many before. VA has a lot. But this is like every 4th car we have seen! Though they might have the same in raw numbers, NH doesn't have quite so many people lol 000
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 31/07/2026New curiosity: Why does NH have more vanity plates than anywhere else? We have seen more vanity plates in the past 4 days than in my first 50 years of life. All NH. Fascinating. 100
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 31/07/2026One last view of our gorgeous hotel. Have wanted to stay here since I was 4, wasn't sure if anything could live up to my dreams. Better than I imagined! Top-notch hospitality in my now-3rd favorite place on earth (besides my home and the Dolomites, of course). 3rd to last bucket list item ✅ 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 31/07/2026The train, the train! So clear now that the cog rail is visible even from this distance. 020
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Finally got to see Mt Washington before we leave NH! I kinda want to live on this veranda forever. The Presidentials are truly magnificent and I can't wait to come back and climb them in weather more like this. But even our backup hikes were amazing, there is no bad hiking here! 120
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 30/07/2026How it started, how it ended. Great 50th bday and I am truly the luckiest woman in the world that this man walks beside me whether we are on a mountain, in the field, on stage, or in the arcade. 2-2 on air hockey. Tomorrow the tie-breaker after we climb a mountain. 120
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 30/07/2026This is the kind of stuff making this lifelong, very open-minded space fan sorta hate space. It justifies so many reasons most people are pretty against space exploration absolutely perfectly. I can't sell exploration to anyone if it means ruining our home. 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 29/07/2026The Full Moon Dinner tonight may not wind up featuring the moon, but apparently our hotel has an astrophysicist who will give a talk. I'm assuming they did not mean to imply they have an astrophysicist on full-time staff, but the way the guy said it made it sound like that's normal for a hotel 😂 020
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 29/07/2026Lucked out today with no rain and accidentally bagged our first NH mountain (the relatively small Mt Avalon, 3440') when we were just going to some low waterfalls due to the forecast. It just kept... Not storming. Yay! So far, 50 is pretty cool! 120
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 28/07/2026Entered the White Mountains and almost immediately a bear ran out to the highway like a greeting party! First stop, a niche bookstore about mountains. Is there anything better than a super specific indie bookstore? Yes. A niche bookstore also famous for its map selection! 000
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 27/07/2026*96% forecasted. Yeah, it could change. A few days ago the forecast was perfect. The closer we get, the more clouds in all forecasts. No mountain views, no sky. Comes in as we arrive, clears up as soon as we go home. Classic. 000
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Very tiny astronomy fan rant: I wound up planning my 50th bday around this Full Moon dinner and there will be no moon. Two days out, 96% cloud cover. It is the most incredibly OF COURSE thing ever. What possessed me to plan around the sky in the mountains? 🤦♀️🤣 100
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026I've just been getting into it recently and it's such fun! I saw a college tourney once, super fun but knew nothing back then. Pro-level must be a blast live. I'll admit, 7s sucked me in first, it's a brilliant gateway drug to the original for those of us exposed later in life. 😄 100
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Hey! Doesn't make up for it, but your women's team is coming to my local arena to play ours this fall and hopefully we will be there (potential date conflict). Pretty cool opportunity, we don't get a lot of rugby in this part of the world! 100
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Most of the time, I love being a tiny person. My center of gravity kicks ass for so many things, I can fit comfortably in small spaces, and I can always get to the front of a crowd. But damn, it can be hard to be a small person who likes to carry a lot of stuff on her back. Head bonks get old... 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Oh my! I remember spotting that on her shelf as I was going to get it for her, true NYC area kid classic. I used to play "spot the lighthouse" on West Side Highway but it is a lot easier to see from across the river. And really gives you a sense of the scale between them! 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026It's so hard to believe I have been completely alone in the woods for over an hour only 2 miles from NYC. On a "very crowded" trail. That is basically empty. You can literally walk here from the NYC subway! 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Anyone else obsessed with the Little Red Lighthouse and the Big Grey Bridge as a kid? What a view of those friends! Still makes my heart go all squishy. 120
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Most trails I take have only bridges that wouldn't break your ankle if you jumped off, is what I mean. Sure, you can drown in a small puddle, but that is a pretty low risk for suicides. At least in NY and NJ, every bridge that one might choose for such an endeavor has these now. ♥️ 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Yeah, they're all over here, too. I'm just not used to these things being along hiking trails! Little bridges don't need such things. Such a jumble of nature, city, history, and modern life in one. 100
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Talk about a different kind of view from a hiking trail!! Truly unique hiking spot that I have somehow ignored my whole life. Someday I will follow this trail all the way to the Adirondacks... #goals 030
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Suicide hotline call box at the entrance to the George Washington Bridge north walkway. Odd thing to see at the start of a hike, but then, the GWB is even odder. Glad it's there and I hope people use it! 110
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 22/07/2026I totally get why schools put hi-viz vests on the toddler train kids. It's smart! But it still makes them look like tiny little chain gangs. 020
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 13/07/2026AI has destroyed my productivity. I feel like I spend hours getting rid of it on things every week as someone tries to sneak it onto my devices in some new, utterly useless at best, offensive at worst, form. It makes early Windows bloatware seem benevolent. At least that was easy to delete! 010
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 05/07/2026We do what we can! Loved having you up and so glad we got to do Frida and Diego together while it is here. 000
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Catching up on DC after such a fabulous day in progressive land is... Jarring. To those who posted it, thank you for your service. A red hat guy in Hoboken tried to start a, "USA! USA!" chant and he just got dirty looks and gave up after 3. Then we all cheered for British bombers. Different. 000
Reposted by Craft LassJason Rabinowitz @airlineflyer.net · 05/07/2026A $3 @mta.info subway fare and some good Q train timing can buy you one hell of a view of the July 4th fireworks and the Brooklyn Bridge light show! Huge shoutout to the train operator for slow rolling over the Manhattan Bridge and the conductor for announcing it. 265207463773
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Turned out Pier A in Hoboken was prime viewing this year. Could see the upper parts of all 4 downtown Manhattan/Brooklyn barges over FiDi buildings with a clear view of the JC barges. And that breeze! Was dreading this holiday, and it was basically a perfect day. Except hot. I'll take it. 000
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Just before the Macy's fireworks started, the heat broke and dropped to 84F, then a cool ocean breeze ran right up the Hudson and provided the happy crowd with nature's ac. They were so vintage-y this year! Quiet and full of just stunning old-skool cool fireworks. 120
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 05/07/2026I swear, the ol' spacetweep magic has been in FORCE today. Found the last spot in the crowded shade for the naval parade. The best soccer pub had a perfect table for us. Now we have found a terrific spot for the fireworks. Thanks for making today amazing, @vtjawo.bsky.social!! 130
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 04/07/2026All to say, I am happy you are one of us now, and happy first Independence Day as one! 030
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 04/07/2026I spent this morning on a pier in the USA watching ships and planes from all over the world with many immigrants and World Cup visitors. I heard at least 18 languages. We all had a grand time together, a real community. All are welcome. The best of this melting pot exists regardless of politics. 150
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 04/07/2026Been trying to upload air and naval parade pics and Bluesky is just not having it. But what a morning! We found a bit of that ol' spacetweep magic and the last shady spot on Pier A in Hoboken. It was glorious (despite hell heat) until a band started playing mid-late 90s pop hits. 😂 020
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 01/07/2026My town has these "toddler trains" of day care kids that go to the parks to play. There are 3 walking down my block right now chanting, "Let's go Knicks!" at the top of their tiny lungs. 😁 000
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 30/06/2026And then I found a new version they did for this World Cup, too! youtu.be/FmX0DJ6kOqc?...youtu.beDubioza Kolektiv - I Am from Bosnia - Take Me to America (Official video)YouTube video by Dubioza kolektiv 000
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 30/06/2026The World Cup is weird. One day you are simply watching some soccer. A few weeks later you are tearing up the dance floor that is your living room to a Bosnian fan song and singing about moving to... Your own country. youtu.be/0a5BJxrarL0?...youtu.beDubioza kolektiv "U.S.A." (Official video)YouTube video by Dubioza kolektiv 120

Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 28/06/2026Yeah, we have had Pride, the MWC, and the Knicks championship all basically at once. It is absolutely bizarre how happy the whole NYC area has been. 😂 I will take it! 120
Craft Lass @craftlass.bsky.social · 28/06/2026The energy is amazing, isn't it? It's contagious, too. 😁 Running errands has never been so joyous. Glad you are getting to enjoy it! 110
