NEW: A new USPS policy will eliminate evening mail pickups from select post offices across the country — a change that will eventually slow pick-up and delivery times for around 70% of zip codes in the U.S. We mapped those zip codes to help you figure out whether your mail ballot could be affected👇

I Don't Sleep Well (Title)
I Don't Sleep Well. The title is rendered in biological looking script. The action takes place in the cross section of an apartment, where the characters are in front of a large window with the angle such that we are looking down on to the street. Insect arms reach out to a woman, whose silhouette is replicated behind her. The moon shines down.

Butterbutt. An older comic.
A four-panel comic titled "yellow-rumped warbler poem". In panel 1, a yellow-rumped warbler stands on a branch in a late autumn scene, and says "Fall is here." In panel 2, the warbler watches a brown leaf fall to the ground, and says "Winter's near." In panel 3, the warbler faces the viewer as brown leaves fall, and says "Need some cheer?" In panel 4, the warbler is showing its luminous yellow rump, and cheerfully says "See my rear."

The Cornell story is horrific, but I’d like to shine a light on what happened at LSU with a current football player on the team:
In July, the school found Shanklin responsible for "forcible rape" and issued a one-year suspension, which is a full ban from campus and activities, according to documents reviewed by ESPN. After Shanklin appealed, an administrative law judge who handles appeals per LSU policy upheld the finding that the athlete was responsible for "forcible rape," but reduced the punishment to four semesters of probation with no restrictions, which allows Shanklin to remain enrolled and on campus and to participate in activities as long as he stays out of trouble.

Comic. [Two people flailing high in the air. Three people on the ground running ahead of them. Arrows and a dotted line indicate that this second group is within roughly one body length of the surface.] [caption] The “ground effect” explains why sprinters can run most efficiently if they stay within roughly one body length of the surface.

Fertile post for account blocking suggestions, seems like. This isn't WW-II, and so far as I can tell, everybody started it, starting with the Brits. We (the US) just seem to be making it worse, and I'm tired of it. Everyone should have a place to live, food to eat, water to drink, etc.

for the nitpickers and tankies: yes, I know this isn't all bomb damage. It's still fucking rubble where houses, schools, shops, and clinics used to be, filled with corpses, and it was all made possible through US support. Support Jews (*everywhere*), not the current government of Israel.

Lynne W @coyoteangel.com · 01/10/2026
And I'm NOT cherry-picking. I know fuck-all about the geography of Gaza. Download Google Earth and look for yourself. It will take mere seconds to find sections of Gaza that have literally been obliterated, because of the 100% terrorist populations, I guess? Fuck this govt and its leader.
000
Lynne W @coyoteangel.com · 01/10/2026
Sure, there's plenty of Gaza that hasn't been bombed. Most of it, stastically speaking, but there is no way that this type of destruction was/is justifiable. I don't want to support this. Support Israelis and Israel in general, yes. Everyone deserves a place to live, but not like this.

Lynne W @coyoteangel.com · 01/10/2026
Before: 2022/2023 LOOK AT ALL THOSE TERRORISTS IN EVERY SINGLE HOUSE. This is magat-quality activity, made possible by the US. I think we should stop helping with this sort of thing.

Exactly the same area in 2023/2024. According to the current government of #Israel, all of these building were directly supporting terrorist activities (in #Gaza). I am...skeptical of their government claims.

Let's zoom in to the NW section of the picture. Today: Effectively nothing but rubble.
100
Lynne W @coyoteangel.com · 01/10/2026
Exactly the same area, in 2024. No rubble. Just neighborhoods, which according to the current government of Israel, where apparently 100% occupied by terrorists, hence the literal total destruction, much of it paid for with your US tax dollars. #israel #gaza

Lynne W @coyoteangel.com · 01/10/2026
Google Earth (desktop version on Windows) has the ability to show historical imagery. For instance, here's the far SW section of Gaza today. If you're not a bomb damage person, what you're looking at is lots and lots of rubble. In the reply to this, I'll post what it looked like earlier.

Americas Top Academics Discuss
A drawing of a youtube video of two guys, one wearing a big suit and the other wearing a sweater.
One says excitedly "think about how cool it would be- giant robots show up and they're all like 'you are obsolete' and then they start shooting lasers. And I unload my gun like 'nooooooo'"
the other says "no way, it's gotta be some sort of weird disease and everyone's body gets really freaky like hands coming out of heads and shit"
the video is titled "americas top academics discuss their ideas for the coolest way for the world to end"
in the comments a user named HermanMerman85 says "two words: nuclear snakes"
in reply to him, MrPiss33227 says "grow up, it's gotta be a giant asteroid made of teeth."

NEW: Republicans went ballistic when New Jersey admitted to an error that allowed fewer than 400 noncitizens to vote since 2023. But when 72,000 mail ballots were rejected across six states in the 2026 primaries over technical issues, the GOP remained silent. Democracy Docket breaks down the data👇

A few noncitizen votes are a scandal. But thousands of rejected ballots are business as usual
One state rejected ballots because some voters failed to include their mother’s maiden name on the back of the return envelope.
