Down with AI image generation. Up with uplifting artists of all skills, especially the ones newer to the craft and learning a lot at once.

HOW TO LET BSKY KNOW THEIR POLICY CHANGES HARM ARTISTS: A GUIDE FOR MOBILE USERS! 🧵 Sending feedback is SUPER easy, and takes just a few clicks! 1. Open the left tab menu, and click that "feedback" button 2. Put your concern in the box. I'll copy paste a script to use! (CONT.)

Screenshot of the leftside menu tab of bluesky. Red lines are used to circle the "feedback" button. This will take you to the support page to submit a comment.

Screenshot of the form to send to bluesky. A script is written in the "concern" section, which is also copy pasted in the replies. The category selected is "product feedback/suggestions", and type of device is "android", because that's what I have. Further instructions are in the replies to this post.

I am mad. Even if they didn't listen to the feedback, please keep posting your stuff here. You art is powerful and inspires many. It might never please everybody, even so, don't be stopped, don't be censored. Post and post and post, I want to see all creativity here. All of it. SFW. NSFW.

Since many of us are cancelling streaming services, now might also be a good time to support writers and artists. Times are extremely tough for creatives, so why not buy a book, commission an art piece, sign up for a Patreon, tip your favorite creators. Everything helps.

The upcoming proposed rules surrounding NSFW art are bad and the Bsky mod team should feel bad. Fellow artists: Remember that even if you don't make NSFW art, rules like these eventually come back to bite us all, especially if we make works about queerness.

Your moderation fails by flagging drawings of fully clothed characters with zero sexual context as “sexual content” How are you going to regulate things as difficult to detect as the “absence of explicit consent” in drawings? Are you just going to ban everyone who creates 18+ content?

ftr this isn't the first time bluesky has done stupid as fuck shit. I was here in the trenches in 2023 watching them pull dumb moves and get yelled down by everyone to back down, successfully. the people running this place are not on your side but they are hilariously easy to bully. go hard.

What is the point of having a feature allowing people to flag their posts as sensitive media, if that sensitive media in question is a bannable offense? There's stuff I don't like seeing but those doing their part and properly flagging their posts so I don't see it by accident shouldn't be punished.

delusions of a tiny artist #art i’ve done this cycle for 9 years 😭 but we keep going

four panel comic titled “delusions #1 ‘maybe’” by erennial. first panel shows a chibi version of the artist working at an ipad sitting on a desk with a determined expression. the text above her says “*locked in for hours*”
the second panel shows the girl with a brightened expression. the text reads “Wow! This might be the best I’ve ever done!”
The third panel shows the artist effervescent with hope, with the text “MAYBE THIS IS MY CHANCE” above her. Smaller text beside her shows her wishes: “Maybe I’ll get noticed by that artist I like!” “Maybe I’ll get a few new followers!” “Maybe they’ll like my OCs…”
The fourth and final panel shows the engagement numbers from a post of three days ago, showing no replies, two reposts, and 6 likes. An arrow pointing to reposts indicates that one of them was a bump from the artist herself. The artist is shown dejected and crying, with small text beside her saying “Maybe next time…”

The first and fourth panels are framed by music notation repeat symbols to show that this cycle is repeated.

One of the best ways u can help your creative friends: sharing our work All day long ppl (many I don’t even know) send me reels on IG, meme posts they think I’ll find funny, etc. I’m grateful that any1 thinks of me enough to do that. If they’d share MY work w/ that same spirit?! Oh man.

Traditional sketch of Toshinori Yagi from My Hero Academia. He has his arms above his head, wrists in shackles. Toshinori’s mouth is agape as he’s looking a bit to the right. His body is showing from the torso up, and he’s shaking and panting. There are little hearts surrounding him as he’s trembling.

Artists are a big part of what makes your social media experience worth it. Most of them post incredible work out there for free (in this economy ??) Remember to support your favorite creators so that they can keep making things you love. Seek out their patreon, shops, share their work.
