"Parisi said utility poles failed because they were meant to withstand 55 mph winds, not the 100 mph gusts that came with the storm." Our state literally gets tornadoes, in what universe did they think a 55mph threshold would be good enough? But even then, it was a hollow excuse for their neglect.

This will be one of the most important immigration cases in a generation. The Trump admin claims that a 1996 law mandates the detention of millions of people without any right to a bond hearing; every person who entered illegally, no matter how long in the past. If they win, it's a nightmare.

The current U.S. minimum wage has been $7.25/hour since 2009.
In 1971, the minimum wage for a U.S. worker was $1.60/hour. Also in 1971, the price of gold was $37.43/Troy ounce. This meant that a U.S. worker earned the equivalent of 1.71 Troy ounces of gold every 40-hour workweek back in 1971.
Today, 1.71 Troy ounces of gold re worth $7,389.25! You would need to earn $184.73/ hour to buy the same amount of gold as a minimum wage worker could purchase back in 1971.
The middle class isn't being destroyed by inflation. It's being killed by greed.

Huh. The Daily Wire is reporting something that would be *enormous* if true, as since July the majority of all ICE arrests are people with no criminal record. I am deeply skeptical of such a massive operational change, given how the White House/DHS keep bragging about setting arrest records.

SCOOP: ICE officers across the country were told this weekend to stop arresting non-criminals, agency sources tell @realDailyWire
Now, ICE may only arrest illegal immigrants with criminal convictions or charges for the time being, said the sources.
The change also ends so-called "collateral arrests,
" sources said, meaning officers who find a criminal target alongside others in the country illegally may detain only the target.

Just pay 💰 us more!
The "Middle Class" didn't disappear, it was deliberately dismantled. In 1978, CEO pay was 30x the average worker.
Today it's 351x. They didn't get 351x smarter or work 351x harder. They just rewrote the rules so all the productivity gains go to the top while you get a pizza party.
