I finished Who's Afraid of Gender. 4/5. Personally, I think Butler presumes readers are well versed in Gender Studies enough to get a lot of the jargon. It's my mistake jumping in the deep end unknowingly, but I think we need a "Dummies Guide to Gender". Reccomended read though.

Weird hill I will die on: seasons should be capitalised. What the fuck do you mean it's "autumn" and not "Autumn?" Days of the week, months of the year, even time periods we capitalise, but we draw the line at Spring/Summer/Autumn(Fall)/Winter?

Recently they've changed minimum Leap card payments from €5 to €10. A fare, generally, is at €2. So with the hikes, not only will it cost more per trip but it devalues your €10. If you top up today and don't use it until after the change, it'll be as if government pickpocketed you.

When you read Kraft’s statement, both this headline and the article it links to are enormously misleading. Kraft says he’s been asked to donate, doesn’t say he has, and doesn’t mention any charities. Readers could be forgiven for thinking Kraft had donated to the charities listed in the text.

I'm taking part in a self-producing course (how to produce your own scripts), and it's good, but sometimes it can feel like I'm kidding myself. I know it's the delusion that helps you do the impossible, but it's so hard to balance forgetting your doubts and then forgetting you self-awareness.

Spotify's AI is deleteing my upcoming podcast for copyright infringement because THE TITLES ARE SIMILAR! AI is accusing me of infringement because two episodes vaguely have the same title as unrelated books. Something I wrote, narrated, and produced is being deleted by AI. HOW THE FUCK IS THIS OK

Writing sounds horrifying when you explain it honestly. "I get this urge to type out a long string of words, no one will ever see them, I have no way of profiting off it, it distracts me from more important tasks, and I get a little sad when I'm finished, but even sadder if I don't finish it."
