My ongoing gamedev side quest is to see how many games I can make that do not feature a currency system. They are obviously very effective for many reasons, I just feel like they put a damper on creativity for coming up with other kinds of reward systems.

Players have been asking for the ability to filter out games made with Gen AI. We've added an automatic tag on SteamDB based on the AI gen content disclosures on the store pages.

300+ comments on that topic and it seems almost everyone agrees. Will see if Steam adds the options, but I would appreciate it both as a dev and a player!

SteamDB applies this tag automatically when the specific AI generative content disclosure statement appears on a game's Steam store page. Haven't seen many devs take advantage of this. While you wait to be eligible for a Steam Deck compatibility check from Valve (if you ever get one), you can link to an announcement and have it show up as clickable "Developer Comments" under the "Unknown" compatibility box.
