I think we've got one last major outrage before violent public outrage and rival factions sick of their wastage of resources end up seeing them decisively brought to heel, probably in the life sciences.

i'm also not sure why we are obligated to make our information, which was human-made, digestible for bots (that *do* want it for free, en-masse). that's a really weird twist of priorities, especially considering anyone can look at the wiki.

No fuck off we're not calling this "Millennial grey" this shit was dictated completely by boomer retiree house flippers we absolutely had NO say in this
Millennial grey

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A kitchen with beige grey floors, drab walls, brushed steel appliances, and grey granite countertops.
Grey floors and furnishings are said to appeal to Millennial tastes.
Millennial grey refers to a desaturated colour scheme that is said to appeal to the interior design sensibilities of the Millennial Generation in the early 21st century.[1] Cultural historian Kassia St. Clair attributed its widespread adoption to a desire among Millennials for "a flexible, sensible choice that will last years, hide any stains, and can be adapted to different schemes."[1] Some have diagnosed Millennial grey as a reaction to the warm hues of the late 20th century.[2]

Millennial grey is polarising, particularly when used with imitation-wood-texture sheet vinyl flooring, which many describe as depressing, soulless, or corporate.[3][4] Although attributed to Millennials, the grey colour scheme is often chosen by house flippers, vacation rental owners, or other people who do not actually live in the greyed properties.[3] Thus, the occupant of the property—Millennial or not—has little say in its colour scheme, particularly when deployed for fixtures such as flooring.[4] The greying may have been driven, in part, by a desire to prepare properties for sale in a manner thought to be least offensive to the average buyer.[5] Given the housing crises gripping many countries in the early to mid-21st century, buyers and renters may feel they have no choice but to accept a property decked in Millennial grey.[4]

To the extent that Millennial grey is said to be enjoyed by Millennials, it is also said to be loathed by Generation Z.[1][2]

The Luddites loved technology. They owned looms at home and would ‘mod’ them to count threads. Their battle was against worker exploitation. The degradation of their rights, safety and wages. They were against a handful of rich businessmen owning the means of production. Sound familiar?

Two things about this argument. Firstly, AI proponents are desperately trying to wear down your resolve any way they can, and they wouldn't be so keen to tell you it's inevitable if they weren't terrified of the push back. Secondly, all AI slop can be expunged given the time, effort, and drive.

The state of the Adobe stock prices are a stark warning that Epic would pay attention to, if they weren't run by a total idiot. It's basically the same situation as UE versus godot, and adobe made themselves too intolerable in the same way as Epic's trying to.

This manifesto is an implicit threat of future violence and should be treated as such. Culture, discourse, law and voting have failed to answer such threats, and, to the contrary have elevated them to the highest levels of power. It is time for more direct action.

The worm connectome here isn't acting as a worm brain. It's acting as a generic network, much as random recurrent neural networks are used in reservoir computing, here repurposed by DRL for fly walking. Cell identities? Meaningless. Neural activity? Uninterpretable. Biology? Nowhere to be found.

Our digital sphinx shows that DRL is so powerful that it finds a solution even when the constraints are completely wrong: worm brain, fly body, zero cellular and circuit compatibility. Give it a target behavior, it fits. It doesn't care about biology Code: github.com/Brunton-Lab/DigitalSphinx2026

This is a core peril of connectome-body models: behavioral fidelity ≠ biological fidelity. Virtual animals are powerful, but ONLY if brain-body interfaces are grounded in biology. A model that walks like a fly might just be a worm in disguise. 👀

It seems to be a longstanding move to diminish the role of the conscious, deliberate activist. I remember when I learned Rosa Parks was a trained and experienced activist and not, as I had been led to believe, just a lady who decided to Do Something one day.
