That was absolutely dismal from Thomas Tuchel, completely mismanaged that second half – esp after the 1-0 goal. He had a chance to change things at the ad-break, leaned into the defensive thing and Argentina, who were already on top, turned the screw.

For that scenario yes, but in general I feel it is symptomatic of Arsenal support at the moment. Like Homer chasing the pig (it's still good!), it smacks a little of desperation. We have to count on City to fuck up royally and for us to win our games to get the title. I think it's gone at this point

Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, I think it is very unlikely it comes down to goal difference. It needs City to slip up (which I can't see happening) and us to go on a winning streak, which I also find improbable. I think the most likely scenario is that City win all remaining games whatever we do.
