That was absolutely dismal from Thomas Tuchel, completely mismanaged that second half – esp after the 1-0 goal. He had a chance to change things at the ad-break, leaned into the defensive thing and Argentina, who were already on top, turned the screw.

A healthy democracy has: checks & balances to power, media of all stripes to criticize & scrutinize, a bi-cameral system to regulate legislation & ensure all decisions are ratified an agreed, all to ensure that power is not concentrated in the hands of a single individual.
