At work I use Onyx Graphics Thrive to process my large format printing jobs. Since we're out of support on our software version (18, current version is 25, minimum support is 22 now), I figured out how to manually alter their printer install files to fix a model change after a hardware upgrade. 🤓

As a long time Simpsons fan I think Jeff Westbrook lost the plot on Seperance. This is definitely my vote for worst episode of all time.

The old Nortel Meridian 616 at work died after a power outage and is destined for scrap and the autistic urge to convince my boss to let me take it and repair it is so real..... Do I need it, no... But I could have home phones 😅

I'm at the point where I can't tell if I have grown to hate the direction Android has gone with their OS or if I'm so deep into Linux and UI design as a programmer that I crave customization of everything at a base level... Maybe it's just because I hate how everything is an app of a website lately

Me: I wonder if anyone else is as big a fan of Magikarp as me. Google AI:
A search in Google "Magikarp favorite pokemon" and the AI result starts off buly saying "Magikarp doesn't have one single 'favourite' Pokemon in the games, bun fans often choose Magikarp as their favorite....."

Swapped two print heads on the OCE Arizona 350GT flatbed printer at work yesterday. Still recovering them as they're used heads but oh man is the jump in quality already there 😻

Was pumping gas whistling the tune of "Cabbage rolls and coffee" today and the woman using the opposite pump complimented me on being a very good whistler 😅 I mostly don't realize I'm doing it which has been "fun" for coworkers in the past 😅

Interesting fact Solitaire was on a lot of these early devices because it helped people learn how to use the drag and drop function on those newfangled pointer devices.

Wasp: "What is my purpose?" Me: "You run solitaire now."
Picture of a Wasp WPA1000 barcode scanner that runs Windows mobile 5.0 pocket PC premium. An antiquated device from the 2010s era of technology. It has an LCD touch screen taking up the top 2/3 of the device with a chunky bezel around and power button located top right above the screen. Below the screen in the bottom third of the device's face there is a cluster of buttons surrounding a circular up down left right rocker with a centered button, presumably as enter. There is an outer button circle of 4 buttons for quick actions with pictograms of papers. A checklist, a calendar and a letter envelope. On the outer left and right of that are single slanted buttons of similar size on the left, one for keyboard and on the right a clock with a house for home screen

if you want to understand tailoring, you only need to watch mid-century movies, when actors were dressed by tailors, not brands. in the 1944 film cover girl, gene kelly's suit drapes beautifully, moving with him, not against him. collar stays on his neck, even as he dances.

My boss and I had a heated discussion about minimizing waste from a 4"x8" coroplast sheet. Im for sq.inch. he's for a larger singular dimensional sheet. This was sparked because I opted to save an L comprised of a 32"x24" piece that is attached to another 16"x24"(48") section instead of one 24"x48"

Vans cheaped out on their construction while keeping the price sky high so I need to find new daily shoes that last longer than 3 months. Anybody know where I can get a size 14 quality shoe? I'm starting to think I need to just buy an industrial sewing machine and fulfill my dream of making one...

Retrofit my garage door from an old school deadbolt and bad dummy handles to a proper Schlage door knob with keypad. Of course I forgot to take pictures of the impressive part where I made a temp plug so I could align the larger size hole saw over the old hole.

Not perfect but a lot more functional. Pocket added on the body side between a seam. Zippered lining pouch to hide pin backings, and a zippered inner that closes fully and not just dangling open on the sides.
Showing off the whole bag in its current usable state. All my pin collection has been transferred over and there is more than half of the front bottom area that is empty on this new purse. It is a hanging against a full coat rack. The lining zipper opened up showing off the PIN backings that are hidden between the linings The bag opened up revealing the zipper that fully closes underneath the flapThe bag zipped up with the flap up showing the zipper that reveals the pin backings in between the linings and the zipper that opens up the main compartment

Looking at my pedal board situation again, it's not really urgent since I haven't played live in a while, but I think it's finally time to look at alternatives boards 🥺 I've used the same early 2000s Pedal Pad by MKS (Michael Stratton) for 15 years and it might be time for a change...
My current work in progress on my pedal board configuration on my original Pedal Pad by MKS. On the board there is a Boss FV-500L Foot Volume Pedal, Boss TU-3 Chromatic tuner, Boss DD-7 Digital Delay, Boss LS-2 Line Selector, Boss FS-5U Momentary Switch, Fulltone Ultimate Octave (Octave Fuzz), Ibanez TS-9DX, Hardwire SC-2 Valve Distortion (discontinued line by Ibanez, not original knobs), Voodoo Lab Pedal Switcher (original 4 channel with buffered or non buffered input), and a Voodoo Lab Pedal Commander
