Twisted Iron Marks by Hailey Turner My rating: 5 of 5 stars Hailey Turner loves to put both her readers and her characters through the mill - case in point Alexei Dvorkin and Sean Delaney in In the Shadows being the first of many! But with Twisted Iron Marks my lawd has she upped her game to make the viewer very uncomfortable (for me, in the absolute best "I love angst" kinda way) and for very good plot reasons. There's no spoilers in my review for this book, it would be a travesty if someone didn't head into it without complete plot blindness because she's just so very, very good at the intricacies of world building which give you everything you need to know about what's happening in multiple ways.
