I stopped using Safari @sanity.io because of wobbly spinners. Now I can use it again thanks to zoom banter & humans working together, & writing a @github.com PR _by hand_ (NO AI)! It didn't require convincing @jensimmons.bsky.social to add no-wobbles to Baseline 2027! www.sanity.io/engineering/...

I always struggle with finding the right icon, so I built semantic search into our icon picker @sanity.io ✨ No more time spent trying to remember if the icon is called `create-user` or `add-person` 😮‍💨

We fully replaced ESLint with oxlint in @sanity.io Studio! 🥳 Total lint time went from ~101s to ~21.5s. Before, linting meant oxlint + ESLint, and ESLint was also running the React Compiler checks. 😮‍💨 Now it’s just oxlint, including the Rust-powered React Compiler linter. 🧘

First big leap towards replacing rollup + esbuild with rolldown. With the studio on vite 8 it's time to move the rest of our devtooling over to tsdown, oxfmt, oxlint, vite+. Always bet on whatever the @voidzero.dev team is cooking!

Portable Text is a spec for block content as structured JSON. It's also an editor for authoring it. In production since 2017. Open spec. The docs at portabletext.org just got a major overhaul →

This massively helped my understanding of how we "grow" LLM's, and why it's wrong to say that models are "built" or "designed". Give it a try!

The prefers-reduced-motion CSS media feature is used to detect if a user has enabled a setting on their device to minimize the amount of non-essential motion. Wile E. Coyote Finally Kills Road Runner Then Immediately Wishes He Hadn’t
4 panel comic

Panel 1: Wile E. Coyote has finally murdered Road Runner by crushing him under a massive boulder

Panel 2: Wile celebrates his long sought after victory

Panel 3: Wile steps out from behind the boulder and is immediately confronted by Columbo who says “Mr. Coyote” in his typically annoying but persistent manner

Panel 4: Columbo calls his name again. Panicked, Wile retreats quickly behind the boulder, but in his heart of hearts, he knows it will do no good. In about two hours he’ll be going to prison. And not cartoon prison. Human prison.

Mitigating supply chain attacks | pnpm
Sometimes npm packages are compromised and published with malware. Luckily, there are companies like [Socket], [Snyk], and [Aikido] that detect these compromised packages early. The npm registry usually removes the affected versions within hours. However, there is always a window of time between when the malware is published and when it is detected, during which you could be exposed. Fortunately, there are some things you can do with pnpm to minimize the risks.
