The image is of a four panel comic.
The first panel shows Sarah, the protagonist, holding a red ball labeled "A SILLY MEME".
The second panel shows Sarah taking the ball and going through a door labeled "GROUP CHAT".
The third panel shows a group of women sitting together and consoling one woman in the center. The woman in the center is saying "...And that's how it happened. It's been the worst day of my life."
The fourth panel shows Sarah standing in the doorway behind them awkwardly holding the red ball.

i think if you forced me at gunpoint, i could come up with some sort of rational or evidence based explanation for every weird thing about trump and those in his orbit EXCEPT for the standing thing. the Weird-Standing just breaks my brain because not only why, but how does it SPREAD to people?

feels like in 100 years the most compelling and frequently referenced evidence against democratic governance will just be pointing to this period of american history and specifically the incompatibility of having both an anti-intellectual pundit class and an informed electorate simultaneously

i worry that men think being A Good Guy is dramatically and heroically intervening on behalf of an endangered woman and then being publicly rewarded on a grand scale when actually being A Good Guy is just usually saying, “hey man that’s not funny” or “wow that’s fucked up” and there is no reward

yeah i almost never endorse this but this is genuinely one of the rare times you dont need to know anything about the bill whatsoever, the context surrounding it makes it impossible for it to be good.

I'll be honest, I've been deliberately pumping bad vibes out into the world for three whole months. You, reading this, have absorbed my malice, and my thoughts are going to infect the world. Why did you, reading this, enable that? What's wrong with you? You should not have done that.

yesterday, for a couple hours i had to actually log into and use facebook for the first time since 2020/2021, and holy shit its really jarring how bad SM is without the benefit of constant normalization and boundary moving. 0 hyperbole facebook is worse for your brain rn than a kid using /b in 2005

ironically this will happen to some degree just not by choice. bc of cuts coming in the budget, + changes already made to services with medicaid/medicare due to racist fraud hysteria, basically every big provider has made it clear the first, last, and biggest cuts will be to *service area*

a news outlet posted an article only to facebook and i made the mistake of reading the comments and all i will say is its fun to remember that all these satellite-hovel villages and their residents would experience total societal collapse in 3 weeks if L/A cut them off our service-center-teet

it seems small but lowkey confronting the Jordan Boy's Legacy as just being broken men with congenital depression and mental illness continuing a cycle of tragedy is incredible. Lanterns is really knocking it the fuck out of the park

this is an incredibly specific guess, but a significant portion of the motivation for this piece, maybe all the motivation, was because someone both hadnt heard of this song and casually implied the author only had because they have so much free time to sit around listening to the radio

i think it *is* accurate to state trump lacks the patience, planning, lucidity, and will to actually do martial law, while at the same time im not sure one is realistically interpreting the conditions if making an "election denier crank" distinction between any of these people

Looking in real time, rather predictably blueskys brilliant “anti dogpile moderation system” in practice means a reply directly stating “I think the rape victim is to blame for their rape” sits at the top while the dozens of replies saying “that sucks” are hidden under “other replies”

The thing about every tech company spending the last 20 years wanting an “eccentric rockstar CEO” is that 999 times out of 1000 you don’t get “genius that doesn’t believe in deodorant” you just get “weird dumbass, who also doesn’t believe in deodorant”

Sen. Susan Collins helped steer millions in federal defense contracts to Navatek, whose CEO illegally funneled thousands of dollars to her campaign. The FBI sought to launch a probe and was eyeing Collins and other lawmakers. Then Trump gutted the unit in charge. THREAD 🧵

religiosity in 2026 is not materially different than living your life around your favorite tumblr fanfic edit of a childrens novel and getting murderously mad at people who like a different tumblr fanfic edit. you shouldnt really go around reminding people of this, but it is the truth.

remember that the people who said they cared about police violence but hated "defund" did not say anything at all as more americans were killed by police under biden than any other president ever. not one of them said a single word, they still dont today. (this applies to everything they say)

”loser mentality” or whatever one wants to call it is among the most frustrating *unintentional* habits the Dem party can’t shake, in a large part because people with such mentality seem genuinely incapable of even perceiving it, while for those without it it’s impossible to ignore or miss
