Nothing in Mark Carney's budget makes me believe he cares about fighting climate change, because the plan is to give hand-outs to all of the industries at the root of the problem.

It actually breaks my heart to think that people are turning to ChatGPT to mitigate their loneliness. We're all struggling to create and then maintain deep, meaningful connections (and capitalism stacks the odds against us), but I can't think of a worse solution than generative AI. But I get why.

Futurama meme of Mark Carney as Zap Brannigan: Kif tells Carney "here's Canada's path under the Conservatives, sir," pointing to a straight line to fascism. Carney replies "that's for school girls" and redraws the path, making it loopy and meandering but ultimately still leading to fascism. "Now here's a path with some chest hair!" he concludes.
