Alongside capturing outputs, the PwC evaluation also captured SAV - Strategic Added Value. It was a bit of a clunky concept (I'll try and find the definition) but is probably equally important in understanding the impact of devolution in the 2020s.

I see these huge structures at Leith docks from many locations across Edinburgh. I love them, lots of other people do too. Would our emotional responses would be different if, instead of being the bases of offshore wind turbines, they were, say, parts of weapons systems or nuclear power plants?

Some of the NEYEDC team had a fantastic day out recently at Brayton Barff wood, a Local Wildlife Site, where our surveyor Claire showed us the ropes in identifying and measuring ancient and veteran trees for addition to the Ancient Tree Inventory. They found some fantastic specimens (and fungi)! 🌳
