It’s a silly thing really. www.geogebra.org/m/adxqcswq I ‘reset’ this quad to a=1 and I wanted an animation so the y intercept smoothly moved to the new location. I tried the t slider(0,1) thing but couldn’t get it to work. Also my onUpdate scripts don’t seem to want to work (classic web version)

Hi @sparksmaths.bsky.social I’m trying to get a free point in Geogebra to animate to move towards a fixed point. Feels like it should be easy but it’s driving me mad! Can you help. Thanks!

In #mathstoday I showed my students what a 95% confidence interval actually means by using Excel and taking 100 random samples and seeing that the population mean was only within the interval 95% of the time.

Today the inestimable @studymaths.bsky.social led our student teachers on a fab day of insights. It was so good! Including prime factorisation, ratio tables, task design, completion tables and #blankisbest. Wonderful stuff! Thanks Jonny 😁

Yeah, but if they don’t code ‘hello world’ as their first project, every future program will be blighted with untold bugs and a coding-curse will be on them til the end of days. So maybe make snake their second project 😂.

If they start from the same location then the question becomes when is Rover 10m ahead of Ruby. The relative difference between them is 2m per time unit, so it will take 5 units for this to happen. Can generalise from here.

Ha ha. Great. Similar for me. I love poetry (of all kinds) but I think it was all the metrical feet - iambs, trochees, dactyls and the like - that got me into it.
