Never have I ever seen cooling centers opened for my area. tbf, a lot of older homes in this area were built without air conditioning. But expecting 100 degrees F for this city is unheard of. I hope everyone under this heat bubble stays safe. It’s gonna be a brutal week here.

I am interested to hear opinions on this lands bill. The article provides a decent amount of detail. It sounds like this would be a series of land swaps to give away checkerboarded Fed parcels to developers with an equivalent amount of land transferred into Fed conservation and wilderness areas.
