The Swarm near #Lennox, CA, #Earthquake is confirmed valid. The largest so far is M2.7 on 9/12/26 with 116 events in the sequence as of the time of this post. Note that this sequence is normal for the area, with a nearby swarm just like it to the NW in 2021. Updated info available @ buff.ly/CmMkBzE

Our team recently visited a station in the Los Padres National Forest that has been recording seismic activity since 2021. This site received a new solar panel and batteries to ensure the station can continue recording earthquakes day and night! #ShakeAlert #CalOES

July EQ History: 7/21/1952 Kern County EQ, M7.5 - struck 23 mi south of Bakersfield on the White Wolf fault. It was the largest SoCal quake since 1857 and felt from Reno to San Diego. 12 killed, $50M+ damage. The fault was only ~30 mi long, surprisingly short. buff.ly/fCd2rEu

This #FieldPhotoFriday we're back at Quakes Stadium from the 4th of July! A group of Seismo Lab members took equipment out, where they helped set up fireworks, tested CSN rapid deployment units, and deployed a datalogger to collect data during the live fireworks show, from within the firing area!
