It’s not a story that anyone wants to hear but in February 2018 I caught a friend’s sore throat. While he recovered fully, I just kept declining, and by June I was 99% bedbound. Eight years later, that’s where I remain. We desperately need better defenses against all respiratory viruses.

explaining to my toddler that we pay a lot of money for health insurance which pays for our healthcare, but also we have to pay the doctor for healthcare until we pay enough money for the health insurance to start paying for our healthcare but even then we still pay the doctor

I hope all the middle-aged women whose lives have been vastly improved by an ADHD diagnosis understand that we’re on the list after trans and autistic people. RFK Jr thinks we should be sent to camps instead of taking a daily medication to bring our dopamine pathways up to a normal level.

This is an example of how ableism shows up in the interview process and goes unnoticed, and honestly, even if you do not need a drink for disability reasons, if you have any choice about the matter, don’t work for companies that would treat you taking steps to hydrate yourself as a deficit.
