I’ve got some stellar undergrads who are tenaciously fighting for their careers! One applied heavily to REUs this summer, only to have many of them defunded… The other is supposed to be hired as an RA after graduation…until the hiring freeze hit. BUT! We raised $900 together last week!

Hive mind! We are restocking our phylogenetic hoop earrings and want to improve the clasp which would require a simpler design. What do you think? Old or new? 🐡🧪

Two versions of hoop earrings depicting phylogenetic trees, the old version has a fuller tree with more branches but an inferior clasp. The proposed new version has an improved spring hinge clasp but requires that the design is simpler, and thus a branch of the phylogenetic trees must be removed.
