My newest article is out in TDR: The Drama Review! It traces my recovery of one of the first Latinx participants in U.S. blackface minstrelsy in the nineteenth century. Thanks to Doug Jones and Kellen Hoxworth for supporting the development of this essay.

The President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, PPFP, has been a jewel in the crown for faculty development and recruitment at the University of California for years and the results have been an expanded faculty with almost 100% tenure rates — unprecedented success.

It's been a week since #NEH staff arrived at our jobs as public servants and discovered DOGE circumvented our databases and terminated our #humanities grants. Over 1,400 grants have been terminated and the majority of staff have been placed on leave. We remain in shock at the scale and subterfuge.
