I absolutely cannot believe that I held out on trying Linux Mint for this long. Feels more stable, more user-friendly (yet more customizable). Overwatch gaming feels a little less "odd". (In Ubuntu, there'd be some janky window handling). #linux-mint #linux-ubuntu #ubuntu #linux

cleaning up my desktop and found this little gem
1st panel: a man pours red paint into a paint tray
2nd panel: the paint touches the tray. a corner of the lines of the tray is not connected
3rd panel: the entire background of the panel is now red, as though the paint tool in MSPaint had been improperly used

I’ve got Daily Tasks, simple Tasks/Reminders, Shopping lists, but also more obscure things like reminders for relationships or chores. And I’m just so surprised at how much seeing a number for the due/overdue reminders has helped; night and day difference.

For several days I was wondering why my productivity tanked; I was originally thinking that it was meds losing their effectiveness. Then I realized that I had converted the reminders app icon into a widget, which removed the red dot with numbers on it. Silly but effective.

I’m hoping that i fixed my #ADHD productivity problem. Sure, meds were critical, but also having the proper productivity system in place is also important Surprisingly, mine was the #iOS reminders app; not only that, but I had to see its badge numbers and how many reminders were due. #nuerodivergent

Proper prompt formatting for LLMs: Goal, Return Format, Warnings, and Context Dump
Goal
I want a list of the best unique weekend getaways within two hours
of New York City.
Each destination should provide a cool and unique experience and be lesser known

Return Format
For each getaway, return the name of the destination as I'd find it on travel guides, then provide the starting address, the ending address (if applicable), distance, drive time, duration of the
experience, and what makes it a cool and unique adventure.
Return the top 3.

Warnings
Be careful to make sure that the name of the location is correct,
that it actually exists, and that the time is correct.

Context Dump
For context: my partner and I love exploring! We've done pretty much all of the well-known spots in our city, whether it's popular museums, parks, or local attractions. We definitely want to get out of town — we did a small road trip recently to a nearby landmark, and it was really long and tiring, so we're in the mood for
something different this weekend! Water views would still be nice. We love great food. One thing I really enjoyed about our last trip was that it ended with a fun celebration (arriving somewhere cool for dinner!). Historical sites and hidden gems are great, but we've done a lot of those already. We won't be seeing each other for a few weeks (they have to travel for work), so the uniqueness here really counts.
