This is not even smart commentary - it's basically a 1-1 comparison. The market segment for this vehicle is entirely contained within a single meme.

Is the deranged (laudatory) Flashscore app player rating system part of the Ballon d'Or criteria? Asking for the guy somehow currently out-balling every player on the Viking team, that is also beating Bayern 2-0.

I'd like to see a 'concentration in historic non-bubbles' time series too - but, it's not looking great is it?

A huge loss, but the team should be incredibly proud of everything achieved. I hope there's solace in the wide appreciation you're all getting - and incredulity at the timing given... events 🥲

I genuinely mean this. I cannot imagine a more bleak dystopian notion than the idea of all art being turned into slop designed to coddle my exact perceived intentions. The point of literature, film, music, and art is to be exposed to the interior lives of others. Who are these people.

An interesting 'no, you're trapped in here with us' devolved anarchism dynamic emerging here from party leaders - if its all allowed to fully play out then the structures work by having the papered over substantive differences resurface at the level of 'ok, are we in a community and party, or not'

Add in the hand-held information & attention environment and they're toast. *For a whole bunch of different definitions of governance and social good, from right to left. All are prey to the anti-system impulse.

Chris Hopkins @chrishopkins.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Yeah, any party standing on the non-populist, 'good governance* requires some personal trade-offs for aggregate social good*' platform has to deal with the wider state of economic decline and/or volatility and a rogue hegemon - that makes legitimacy of 'the system' look pretty ropey.

Yeah, I think the crisis of neoliberalism creates a political vacuum that someone *has* to fill. At more or less the same time, you hand out 4 or 5 billion smartphones with algorithmically driven, addictive apps that many people are hooked on. So you get… *waves hands at the state of the world*.

Flood Re renewal is due in not too long, and foreseen risk like this is the kind of thing that dilutes the rational/scope for catastrophic cover and protection gap entities. So it's not even just premiums at risk - it's risk pool inclusion. Bleak.

The Phantom of Heilbronn, also referred to as the Woman Without a Face, was a presumed female serial killer whose existence was inferred from DNA evidence found at 40 crime scenes across Austria, France and Germany from 1993 to 2009.

In March 2009, investigators concluded that the supposed serial killer did not exist, and the DNA belonged to a woman who worked at a factory that made the cotton swabs used for collecting DNA samples

(On paper you could see a Tory-leftward shift to Cameronism to annex residual orange book Lib Dems as a route to higher 20s - but who is seeing literally *any* sign of that in the current environment, with the culture war positions entrenched.)

A recipe for extreme FPTP turbulence. And interesting that Ed Davey has started to get more Lib Dem pushback for making no headway at all in the shuffle then Badenoch gets from Conservatives. Satisfaction with a punchers-third (with no smaller rivals to the right to squeeze) seems un-Tory but 🤷‍♂️

BlueSky *can* absolutely succeed as a social network - as long as football clubs keep plausibly doing financial crimes. It's our special interest. Long football financial crimes. Long BlueSky 📈🔝
