Real talk: I had COVID for the first time last fall. It set me back 15 years of ME/CFS recovery. So I'm getting a really light, foldable electric WC so I can get back to leaving the house on my own a healthy chunk of time. Days good enough for ebiking haven't been thick enough on the ground.

The whole-bike annual maintenance was well overdue and my husband's bike needed a new front wheel (bent and 5 spokes broken, completely flat, minor rust on the chain). No idea how that happened in the garage over a single winter. My fave LBS closed this spring, so we went to The Other Bike Shop.

I'm an avid #ebike rider. It's the only exercise my body tolerates with #MECFS and #LongCovid. It also makes me feel more like me, who rode my Schwinn to the train station for my work commute 8 months of the year. It only added 10 minutes to the commute on a good day, saved hours vs 880's bad days.

My friends, it took crown removal tools to free me. My whole lower jaw is sore. Those retainers have been ground open so they cannot form suction again (my upper arrived, I was supposed to pick it up Wednesday, it got pre-emptively ground). This was a dental unicorn event. Never seen before.

Back to bed, up at 11, another half hour, no joy. I try brushing toothpaste on the exposed gums and brushing the rest of my mouth and swishing a lot to try to unlock this prison of my lower jaw. Still nothing. So I call the dentist, the receptionist's voice has de "ohhhkayyyyy, this cray" vibes.

See, when I overdo it a bit too much on a day, my CFS+Long CoVID will give me a barrage of nightmares. Not that night, no, that would be too simple. The night after that, and sometimes a little more the night after that. And I smashed that retainer down to a suction fit over my right molars.
