"The saga of Heathrow’s third runway beggars belief" There's a dozen compelling reasons not to build the 3rd runway in here... and it doesn't even mention climate change! If this goes ahead aviation will account for 80% of UK emissions by 2050

It's Friday! You've made it through the week. You deserve an eel. don't you? Come on...don't be shy. You know you do. Go ahead...take one from the tub. You've earned it. 🗃️🧪
Excerpt from an early modern alphabet primer for the letter E. There is an uppercase E in the upper left corner, and a lowercase e in the upper right. Along the top, between these letter, it reads: "Eel, live Eels."

Below this is a black and white drawing of a woman (we'll call her Gemmenelda), sitting in front of a large wicker basket, handing an eel to a small girl. The woman is perched on a stool of some sort, and has a scale in her hand for weighing out eels. she has a hat, and an apron, and a shirt with what might be polkadots. Or they might be little ladybugs (except she's English, so they're probably ladybirds). Gemmenelda has a somewhat smug smile on her face; as smug as eels, really.

The girl (we'll call her Jesmerolda) is holding a basket in her right hand, and is reaching out for the eel with her left. Odds are she's gonna pop the eel in the basket, and hope it doesn't slither out. She's wearing a plain dress and a hat or bonnet and little black shoes. Eel-gettin' togs.

My worry is that plenty of them do get it, but just want to enrich themselves with no thought of the the future. A bit like the decline of the Roman Empire, but on a massive, world-wide, catastrophic scale.

I've a large knapweed plant in my yard - I always run past it! Seriously, it grows with Ox-eye Daisy and Yarrow and I identified 3 species of moth on it in summer, one a new species for the county.
Knapweed in June, before flowering. Once I spotted it, I avoided it with the mower. This is actually part of our parking area.

In June 2017, Emma made history when she was elected Kensington’s first ever Labour MP. Six days after her election, Grenfell Tower fire saw 72 local residents lose their lives in the worst residential fire since WWII. Cuts to "red tape" save money. Regulations save lives. x.com/emmadentcoad...
Screencap of tweet by Emma Dent Coad quoting tweet by Kemi Badenoch.

Emma Dent Coad: "Grenfell - 72 died from the fire, at least five died by suicide, 11,000 have PTSD, concerns about long term effects of toxicity on residents, 11 firefighters with terminal cancer - plus £1bn spent and rising.

That's 'nothing' right?"

Kemi Badenoch: "Cutting red tape costs taxpayers nothing.

It's a common sense solution to get Britain building."
