It's never happened. Across every AL and NL game from 1903 to today, about 4.4 million player-game batting lines, nobody has driven in 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 runs in five consecutive games.

Bill Terry in 1930, Frank McCormick in 1944, Tim Salmon in 1997 and Yadier Molina in 2012 each followed 3-1-4-1 with a 3.

Recent 3-1-4-1 runs: Marcell Ozuna in April 2024, Mookie Betts in July 2023, Yordan Alvarez in September 2022 and Ryan McMahon in 2021. All four went 0 in the fifth game.

#OTD in 2025, Toronto Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage started and did not allow a hit in 5 1/3 innings, while striking out 11 Yankees batters, to lead the Blue Jays to a 13-7 win in Game 2 of the ALDS at Rogers Centre. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. had three hits, including a grand slam.
