I'm in my late 40s and dealing with what a nurse told me is the "worst case of shingles" she has seen in years. I'm two rounds of antivirals, one round of antibiotics, and third refill of pain meds in. Have been dealing with it since late August. Do whatever you need to avoid this.

I guess it was just an unsubtle framing from Jordan that I can imagine some producer along the way thinking "It's fine in this case, because they're Satanists, but I wouldn't want this framing for a guest who is Jewish/Muslim/Hindu/etc. etc." And that's what bothers me.

I get that the Daily Show's model, over the years, has became that the correspondents' characters are the joke. Not everyone can thread insight and self-effacement like Jon Stewart, but Jordan just seemed uninterested even when the conversation pointed at significance.

Twin Temple was on The Daily Show and withstood a thoughtless line of questioning about Satanism from Jordan Klepper. The band's sustained joy spoke volumes, but Jordan seemed unprepared to actually engage with a minority religion--other than "har har, what do Satanists eat for breakfast?"

There is this nice shot in the TNG episode "Lessons" that I love. In this episode Picard faces a situation where someone he is romantically involved is on an away mission and might die. So, without showing Picard distressed, the show does this unique shot to show him vulnerable and small.

As someone who at 17 years old played Young-but-not-Youngest Scrooge (the one who falls in love at Fezziwigg's party and later gets his heart broken) in a local college production of A Christmas Carol in 1992, I am **personally** offended by the idea we don't know Scrooge's origin.
