Rust has a history of dropping features like garbage collection, OOP, and pure functions. So, keep that in mind the next time you get upset that Scala 3 dropped experimental support for macros. #rust #scala youtu.be/rNROsljsI6U

Fun fact: the Edinburgh Usher Hall is named after the American artist Usher, in honor of his discovery of Justin Bieber, a subject of the Dominion of Canada, as an example for Scots to stay in the United Kingdom.

10 judges appointed by 6 presidents rejected 23 motions brought by 87 claimants. At the same time, 5 judges appointed by 3 presidents granted 56 motions by 123 claimants. How many judges appointed by how many presidents does it take to change the constitution?

Fun fact: DuckDB is faster at counting the lines of a CSV file than the UNIX word count command – and it also parses the file to identify its dialect (separator, quote character, etc.). Here are the timings for a 3 GB CSV file: 2.966 seconds for `wc -l` and 1.261 seconds for DuckDB.
