I think the twist in Digger should not be a twist. Watching the film would be less frustrating if already knowing why things look frustrating. The film is far more successful as a sombre drama about coping than as a goofball sledgehammer of an eco-message

This contains spoilers for Digger, but read it anyway, because it's right. I came away from the film thinking it would have been better if the twist wasn't a twist. If it was more honest about what you are seeing then you could absorb it less frustratingly. www.theguardian.com/film/2026/oc...

Tom Cruise’s Digger has flopped spectacularly – but I think it is a misunderstood masterpiece
This article contains spoilers for Digger: Alejandro G Iñárritu’s film may be about to become one of the biggest bombs Hollywood has ever seen – but it is destined to be re-evaluated with time

Apparently Trump sourced the name Super Intelligence from a poll on Truth Social. He should have asked on on Bluesky. We could have voted for Terry McIntelface.

Picture of man smiling with tea-mug. Headline reads: "Non-Billionaire who actually lives in the UK and pays its taxes says he has lost confidence in the super-rich", with sub-header: 'One of Britain's taxpayers says he has lost confidence in billionaires, describing them as "on the take"".

Has one of your player character's casual attitudes ever clashed hilariously with a serious campaign moment? #ttrpg #dnd #rpg #meme
A meme with text at the top and a comic panel below. The top text reads: "When one of your PCs underestimates how serious the campaign is going to be:". The comic panel shows Batman in the rain, looking up dramatically, with a speech bubble that says: "THIS IS WHERE I WATCHED MY PARENTS DIE, RAPHAEL." Below Batman, only the head of a Ninja Turtle, Raphael, is visible, with a speech bubble saying: "COWABUMMER!"

Not only did I meet Robert Kraft, I worked for him. His kid Jonathan asked me to “remove the black music” from my gameday playlist in ‘94 & I refused so they fired me. I was the cheerleader director at the time. I sued them for wrongful termination and won. So yes, I know that motherfucker.
