Private water companies won’t stop trying to deceive the British public😡😡😡 It's PLAIN FALSE to say investment in our water infrastructure will come from private investors NO, it will come from the increases to YOUR water bills over the next 5 years. WE ARE THE REAL INVESTORS
Screenshot of a We Own It post that says "This zombie lie just won't die. NO, investment to fix our crumbling water infrastructure over the next 5 years isn't coming from private investors. IT WILL COME DIRECTLY FROM THE INCREASES TO OUR WATER BILLS. It should not be legal to decieve the public in such a blatant way. Here is what we truly lose by taking our water into public ownership: 1) The privilege to help water company CEOs make millions in pay and bonuses 2) The ability to help water shareholders extract billions from our water - and load those companies up with debt 3) The genuises currently losing 3 billion litres of water daily to leaks, dumping sewage in our own rivers and seas, and overseeing persistent service cuts to thousands of homes 8 in 10 of us have had enough of this disaster. We are happy for private water shareholders to take their "investment" elsewhere. We want out water in public ownership."

No one owns football. It is the common property of humanity. FIFA plans to sell off its tournaments to private equity. It is not FIFA's to sell. Our statement: rebootfifa.com/news/reboot-...
A FairSquare Reboot campaign graphic. Plain cream background, black text in a bold sans serif. A thin rule across the top, labelled "Page 1 of 4". Large headline: "No one owns football. It is the common property of humanity." Below it, in smaller type: "FIFA plans to sell off its tournaments to private equity. The plan should be opposed by FIFA's member associations, and by clubs, players and fans across the world." Then a single line: "This is our statement on recent developments." A rule across the bottom separates a footer holding the FairSquare wordmark, its logo beneath it, a solid black square with a rectangular notch cut into the top edge, and to the right the word REBOOT in heavy black capitals.

Feargal Sharkey brands '£100billion' cost of nationalising water 'nonsense'. Spot on. They inflate investment by capitalising part of interest, repair/maintenance cost. Govt says Thames Water is worth £21bn. KKR wouldn't pay £4bn. Govt must enforce environmental laws, bankrupt them. Nationalise.
